Bakers of Danbury is a highly respected traditional contractor that prides itself on attention to detail and the quality of the works carried out. We are often recommended by the Local Authority Conservation Officers and English Heritage for works to heritage properties within our geographical area.
As a principle contractor we cover every aspect of restoration, alterations and extensions to period properties and listed buildings. Our directly employed workforce includes stonemasons, bricklayers, plasterers, carpenters and joiners and is regularly supplemented with specialist sub-contractors who we have worked with for many years.
We carry out a diverse range of building works on listed buildings across the residential, commercial and healthcare sectors and are experienced in incorporating sustainable energy techniques and technologies into older buildings, with minimal and sometimes no visual impact.
Bakers of Danbury won a RICS conservation award in 2011 for East of England (Building Conservation category), for their works on Spains Hall, Essex and were joint winners of the RIBA conservation award for London in 2012, for works on St Pauls Cathedral.
