Project Overview

As part of the Taylor Wimpey Limebrook Park (East) development in Maldon, Essex, Bakers of Danbury, a trusted Essex construction company, was appointed Principal Contractor to build and project manage the construction of this modern sports pavilion.

Working alongside FINC Architects, we delivered a new, modern and energy-efficient facility for Maldon All Saints Football Club and the wider local Maldon community.

Construction Process

An overview of the construction process is as follows:

Site Preparation and Structure: Groundworks began in September 2023, with foundations dug and concrete poured. A steel frame, block and beam flooring and cavity walls were installed.

External and Internal Works: A metal roof deck, warm roof membrane and paint-grade blockwork were installed. Underfloor heating, weatherboarding and aluminium doors and windows were fitted.

Energy Efficient M&E Installations: Air source heat pump (ASHP), 24 PV solar panels and extract systems were installed. 1st and 2nd fix mechanical and electrical works, including lighting, plumbing and HVAC, were completed.

The Finished Sporting Facility

The sports pavilion provides changing rooms and showers, unisex and disabled toilets, match officials’ rooms, physio treatment room, office, kitchen and function hall. The venue will serve as a community hub supporting grass roots football, events and activities.
