Education
Bakers of Danbury are experienced in carrying out new build and refurbishment works to schools, colleges and other community and public sector buildings.
We work closely with both the architects, designers, school and the local authority or academy to ensure the school build project meets the needs for the age and type of student it is built for. By working closely with the staff we ensure that the building work causes minimum disruption to the pupils education and does not compromise the health and safety of the pupils, staff and the local community.
Our directly employed DBS checked tradesmen supplemented with carefully selected DBS checked subcontractors work together to provide a quality build, to programme and budget. These projects include, but are not limited to the following:
- Classroom extensions
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) rooms
- Washrooms and changing rooms
- Wet rooms
- Multi-use games areas ( MUGA )
- Kitchens and canteens
- First aid and staff rooms
We welcome opportunities to tender for building work and maintenance services to schools, colleges and universities within the Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire regions.
Bakers of Danbury has been awarded a place on the Essex County Council Construction Framework 2, a construction framework intended for use in the procurement of range of new build and refurbishment schemes across the education sector. It is also available for other contracting bodies to use. Across the whole framework Essex County Council have predicted the Framework will have a total maximum spend of £400m over the four-year term.
