Listed and Heritage Buildings
Our joinery team specialises in creating and restoring timber features for listed and historic buildings.
This includes bespoke timber windows designed to meet conservation requirements, traditional oak doors and porches, kitchens and cabinetry for listed properties, and the restoration and repair of historic doors and original features, including working to preserve original stained glass. Restoration of a 500-year-old oak church door, including its original hand-forged lock.
We take care to ensure new joinery is sympathetic to the character of the original building, using appropriate materials and traditional techniques where required.
Bespoke Joinery and Cabinetry
Every project is different. Our team designs and manufactures bespoke kitchens, fitted cabinetry and architectural joinery to suit the building and the client’s requirements.
Recent work has included kitchens, kitchen benches, storage cupboards, notice boards, oak gates, internal panelling, bespoke windows and doors, and specialist display units.
Hand-Carved Work
Traditional craftsmanship remains an important part of our work. We produce hand-carved wooden plaques and memorials. We also restore and reproduce traditional village signs.
A recent project at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy involved hand-carving and hand-painting regimental badges representing the Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons (The Blues and Royals), and the Gordon Highlanders.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Many historic buildings have unique dimensions, irregular openings and intricate architectural details, making careful measurement and bespoke construction essential.
Our craftsmen combine traditional joinery skills with modern manufacturing techniques to create and restore timber features that are both accurate and sympathetic to their surroundings. This includes complex curved and arched work, traditional oak joinery and the careful reproduction of original timber details.
