Bakers Accredited Heritage Training Program

The Bakers Accredited Heritage Training Programme

Why Train with Us?

Our Craftsman Heritage Training Programme is designed for those individuals who are either beginning their journey in the construction industry or seeking to advance their careers. It places a specific emphasis on developing the skills required to work on the restoration and conservation of historical buildings and churches.

The training programme is for 18 months and is on a full-time and permanent basis. We have designed the programme to enable trainees to acquire the traditional skills that are becoming increasingly sought after in the job market, therefore offering a distinctive and exciting career path and job security by setting themselves apart.

The Benefits of our Training Programme

1. Train with an experienced and respected company

Our trainees will become part of the Bakers of Danbury team giving them the advantage of working with a respected building firm known for its expertise and craftsmanship. We work on some of the finest heritage buildings and churches in the area and as a trainee you will be a key part of these restoration projects.

2. Site based training

Practical experience is fundamental and the training programme is built around an onsite based NVQ and externally accredited in-house training modules to provide this. Our trainees will be on site working on a variety of conservation and restoration projects and the training programme will cover all learning and onsite assessment.

3. Experienced and skilled personal mentor

Trainees will be assigned a Mentor and throughout the training programme, the trainees will work closely with them to ensure they receive the right guidance, support and are learning from the best.

4. Qualified status

On successful completion of the accredited training programme the trainees will become certified Bakers of Danbury Heritage Craftsman.
