Heritage building contractors Bakers of Danbury were delighted to support Christian Aid Week by sponsoring a charity concert which took place at English Martyrs church on the 11th May.
The event marked the beginning of a successful fund raising week which began with the concert and ended with a service in the URC Chapel in Little Baddow Road.
Over £4,000 was raised
Sean O’Byrne, who chairs the Danbury, Bicknacre & Little Baddow Christian Aid Group said:
“The week’ has raised just over £4,000 so far. A BIG thank you to all the donors.”
Donations can still be made using the red envelopes in churches locally or throughout the year via the ‘online digital envelope’ at www.fundraise.christianaid.org.uk/ and searching for Danbury, Bicknacre and Little Baddow.”
