Multi Trader Position

Established over 145 years ago, Bakers of Danbury are a privately owned Essex based heritage building contractor with an excellent reputation for conservation expertise and quality of work. We work across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Kent and Hertfordshire as well as into east, north and central London.

We are looking to recruit a number of multi traders to join our busy Special Works Department which is located in Danbury, Essex. This is an exciting and varied role which involves working on some of the finest heritage, church, residential and historical buildings in the area. The successful applicant will have an excellent track record being skilled in all trades including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and flooring.

An eye for detail, a keen interest in building preservation and a pride in one's work is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience and skilled in carpentry, plumbing, plastering (including lime plastering), tiling, decorating and flooring
  • Experience of working on historical and listed buildings would be an advantage
  • Driving licence
  • To travel to project sites predominately across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Hertfordshire
  • To observe and work to our Health and Safety standards and be observant of possible hazards in the workplace
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a good communicator with the team and clients

    • The Special Works Department

    The Bakers of Danbury Special Works Department works on a wide variety of projects involving the restoration and repair of historical buildings, listed properties and traditional homes. We work with both commercial and residential clients.
