The Transformation Project at St Mary's
The scheme called “The Transformation Project.” modernised the infrastructure of the existing building by creating an additional community space called “The Annexe” and by reordering the existing nave installing new flexible furniture and a high-quality engineered oak floor.
What is the Design Awards Scheme?
The Diocese of Chelmsford administers the Design Awards Scheme which recognises excellence in design and craftsmanship, and is in place to encourage the commissioning of individual bespoke designs.
The scheme applies to everything which requires faculty consent, from small items such as candlesticks and light fittings, to stained glass, memorials, sculpture, paintings and furniture and all the way through to reordering schemes, whole building developments, cremated-remains areas in churchyards, or tree planting projects.
